Craftmanship

Travertine quarried from geothermal limestone caves in Tibet and individually finished to highlight natural beauty. Arched at the top and set with one, two, or three frosted glass globes depending on the configuration chosen. The stone's natural pitting and veining catches the warm glow differently across its surface, giving quiet texture even when unlit.

Because Nami's stone width may not fully cover a standard US electrical junction box, a round mounting cover plate is included to ensure a secure, code-compliant installation. If your wall allows for direct mounting, Nami can be installed without the cover plate for a fully seamless stone-to-wall look.

Damp rated for bathroom use, Nami is built to bring the same considered material language to any space you see fit.

Details

Nami takes its name from the Japanese word for wave, a nod to the rhythmic repetition of its glass globes. Choose one globe for a compact accent, two for a balanced mid-size fixture, or three for a bold vertical statement.

Damp rated and dimmer compatible, Nami works equally well in bathrooms as hallways, entryways, and living spaces. A round mounting cover plate is included for installations where the stone doesn't fully cover your existing junction box - though it can be skipped entirely for direct mounting if your wall allows.

Light In Japandi

In Japan, lighting is more than illumination. It's a design philosophy, a deliberate choice to create warmth and presence in your space.

When you fill your room with Japandi lighting, the soft ambiance instantly makes you feel relaxed. It wipes away the chaos of your day so you can actually be present with yourself or someone else.

No distractions.

Just presence.

The Travertine Story

Formed over thousands of years by mineral rich hot springs, travertine carries a record no factory could replicate - every pit, vein, and irregularity a trace of how it came to be. No two pieces emerge alike. Cool and substantial in the hand, yet warm in tone, travertine grounds a space with the quiet weight of something genuinely old.

About This Piece

Nami, Japanese for wave, brings rhythmic light to the wall through a series of frosted glass globes set into hand-finished travertine. Choose one, two, or three globes to scale the fixture to your space.

Damp rated and dimmer compatible, Nami is equally at home in a bathroom, hallway, or entryway - a considered light for spaces that call for warmth and durability alike.

Full Nami Description

NAMI Wall Sconce - Travertine Wall Light with Glass Globes

Bring rhythmic, ambient light to your wall with NAMI, our arched travertine
sconce. The name NAMI — Japanese for wave — reflects the repeating rhythm of
its frosted glass globes, available in configurations of one, two, or three,
each casting a soft, even glow up the wall.

DESIGN & AESTHETIC:
NAMI pairs a hand-finished travertine slab, arched at the top, with one or
more frosted glass globes set into its face. Available in three configurations
— single, double, or triple globe — NAMI scales to fit anything from a compact
hallway accent to a tall, statement entryway or stairwell fixture.

The soft glow from each globe washes gently across the travertine's natural
texture, creating warm ambient light without harsh shadows.

INSTALLATION:
NAMI is hardwired, with G9 sockets recommending LED bulbs for longevity. It's
dimmer compatible, though a compatible dimmer switch is sold separately. NAMI
is damp rated, making it suitable for bathroom installations in addition to
living spaces, hallways, and entryways.

Because the stone's width may not fully cover a standard US electrical
junction box, a round mounting cover plate is included to ensure secure
installation and meet standard electrical code. If your wall allows for direct
mounting, NAMI can be installed without the cover plate for an even cleaner
look.

FEATURES:
- Hand-finished travertine slab, arched design
- Available in 1, 2, or 3 globe configurations
- Frosted glass globes
- G9 socket, LED bulbs recommended
- Dimmer compatible (dimmer switch sold separately)
- Damp rated for bathroom use
- Hardwired installation
- Optional round mounting cover plate included

PERFECT FOR:
Bathroom vanity lighting, hallway sconces, entryway statement lighting,
stairwell lighting, living room accent walls, bedroom wall lighting, Japandi
and minimalist interiors, damp-rated spaces.

WHY CHOOSE NAMI:
Unlike single-bulb sconces, NAMI's repeating globe configurations let you
scale the fixture to your space — a single globe for a compact accent, or
three for a bold vertical statement. The damp rating means NAMI works
beautifully in bathrooms, a space many of our other pieces aren't rated for.

CARE & MAINTENANCE:
Travertine is a natural stone and will develop subtle character over time.
Dust gently with soft cloth. Glass globes can be wiped with a soft, dry cloth.
Professional installation recommended.

DESIGN PHILOSOPHY:
NAMI embodies the Japandi principle of considered repetition — a single form,
scaled and repeated, creating rhythm without complexity.
