Craftmanship

Travertine quarried from geothermal limestone caves in Tibet and individually finished to highlight natural beauty. Mounted to a warm wood ball joint that allows a full 360 degrees of rotation. The joint is fitted for smooth, secured movement, holding position at every angle.

The round wood wall plate anchors the fixture with quiet presence, letting the travertine shade and its wide range of motion remain the visual focus.

Details

Kubi takes its name from the Japanese word for neck, a nod to the way its travertine shade swivels freely on a wood ball joint, much like a head turning to follow the light. Rotate it a full 360 degrees to aim the glow exactly where you need it.

The E26 socket accepts your choice of standard bulb, so you can dial in the brightness and warmth that suits your space. Hardwired for a clean, permanent installation.

Light In Japandi

In Japan, lighting is more than illumination. It's a design philosophy, a deliberate choice to create warmth and presence in your space.

When you fill your room with Japandi lighting, the soft ambiance instantly makes you feel relaxed. It wipes away the chaos of your day so you can actually be present with yourself or someone else.

No distractions.

Just presence.

The Travertine Story

Formed over thousands of years by mineral rich hot springs, travertine carries a record no factory could replicate - every pit, vein, and irregularity a trace of how it came to be. No two pieces emerge alike. Cool and substantial in the hand, yet warm in tone, travertine grounds a space with the quiet weight of something genuinely old.

About This Piece

Kubi, Japanese for neck, brings a fully adjustable travertine shade to the wall, swiveling a full 360 degree on its wood joint. Aim it up, down, or anywhere between, and choose your own bulb to set the brightness and warmth just right.

A quiet, flexible fixture for reading nooks and hallways.

Full Kubi Description

KUBI Wall Sconce - 360-Degree Rotating Travertine Wall Light

Bring fully adjustable light to your wall with KUBI, our travertine wall sconce
mounted on a rotating wood joint. The name KUBI - Japanese for neck -reflects
the piece's signature feature: a travertine shade that swivels a full 360
degrees on its wood mount, moving freely in nearly any direction.

DESIGN & AESTHETIC:
KUBI pairs a hand-finished travertine shade with a warm wood ball-joint mount,
fixed to a round wall plate. The shade rotates a full 360 degrees around the
joint, letting you aim the light exactly where it's needed - up toward the
ceiling, down toward a reading chair, or anywhere in between.

An E26 socket accepts a standard bulb of your choice, giving you flexibility
over brightness and color temperature to suit the room.

INSTALLATION:
KUBI is hardwired to an existing junction box.

FEATURES:
- Travertine shade on a 360-degree rotating wood joint
- E26 standard bulb socket
- 249-2000 lumen flux range
- Hardwired, AC 120-240V universal voltage

PERFECT FOR:
Reading nook accent lighting, bedside wall lighting, hallway sconces, gallery
wall lighting, entryway accents, task lighting near a desk or chair, Japandi
and minimalist interiors, contemporary living spaces.

WHY CHOOSE KUBI:
KUBI's ball-joint mount gives it a wider range of motion than a typical fixed
sconce, letting the same fixture serve as ambient light, accent light, or
reading light depending on how it's angled. The standard E26 socket means you
can choose your own bulb brightness and warmth to match the room.

CARE & MAINTENANCE:
Travertine is a natural stone and will develop subtle character over time.
Dust gently with soft cloth. Avoid direct water exposure. Wood joint may
deepen in tone naturally with age.

DESIGN PHILOSOPHY:
KUBI embodies the Japandi principle of considered flexibility, a fixture built
to move with the room rather than dictate to it.
