Dishwasher safe, but hand washing recommended.
The glaze will stay softer and more matte with hand washing. Dishwasher detergent is harsh and can dull the surface over time.
Rinse immediately after use, especially if you've had milk or juice in it (prevents residue buildup).
Not for stovetop or oven.
This is tableware ceramic, not cookware ceramic. Don't heat it directly.
Avoid thermal shock.
Don't pour boiling liquid into a cold pitcher straight from the fridge. Let the pitcher come to room temperature first, or warm it with lukewarm water before adding hot liquid.
The glaze will develop patina with use.
If you use it for coffee or tea, tannins will settle into microscopic crevices over time and create a subtle darkening. This is normal and adds character. To minimize: rinse immediately after each use. To remove: scrub with baking soda paste.
