Craftmanship

Body turned from solid walnut, its faceted silhouette catching light differently from every angle. The antique brass hardware is fitted by hand, connecting the wood body to a tapered linen shade sewn to hold its shape without stiffening the material's natural texture.

The result is a fixture that feels equally at home in a mid-century interior or a modern Japandi room - a nod to its Scandinavian roots, expressed through warm, tactile materials rather than cold minimalism.

Built to be a lasting fixture, the walnut body will deepen in tone over time, while the brass hardware develops its own soft patina with age.

Details

Ljus takes its name from the Swedish word for light, a fitting start for a collection built around warmth, form, and quiet material contrast. This wall lamp pairs a turned walnut body with an antique brass stem, topped with a tapered linen shade that softens and diffuses the glow.

Available as a single arm or double arm, and in three shade tones - Off White, Olive Green, or Rust, Ljus adapts to the mood of the room it's in. Mount a single sconce beside a reading chair, or install the double arm as a warm, symmetrical accent above a console or bed.

Ljus is hardwired and can be paired with a dimmable LED bulb and compatible dimmer switch for full brightness control. All mounting hardware is included.

Light In The Nordic Tradition

In Scandinavia, light is never taken for granted. Through long winters and short days, lighting became a design philosophy of its own, a deliberate choice to create warmth where the sun doesn't reach.

Every time you turn Ljus on, that same warmth fills the room. It softens the edges of a long day, so you can actually be present with yourself or someone else.

No distractions.

Just warmth.

About This Piece

Ljus, Swedish for light, brings a warm, Scandinavian-inspired silhouette to the wall. A turned walnut body and antique brass stem support a tapered linen shade, available in three tonal options to suit any room.

Whether mounted solo beside a reading chair or as a double-arm pair flanking a headboard or console, Ljus casts a soft, outward glow that feels both considered and quietly warm.

Full Ljus Description

LJUS Wall Sconce - Walnut & Linen Scandinavian Wall Lighting

Bring warm, tactile light to your bedroom, hallway, or living space with LJUS,
our walnut and linen wall sconce. The name LJUS, Swedish for "light", reflects
the collection's Scandinavian design roots, built around natural materials and
soft, outward-casting glow.

DESIGN & AESTHETIC:
LJUS pairs a turned solid walnut body with antique brass hardware, topped with a
tapered linen shade available in three tonal options: Off White for a clean,
versatile look, Olive Green for earthy depth, and Rust for warm, grounded
contrast. The faceted wood silhouette catches light and shadow differently
depending on the angle, adding quiet visual interest even when unlit.

CONFIGURATION OPTIONS:
Choose a single arm for a compact accent beside a reading chair, nightstand, or
hallway, or a double arm for a wider, symmetrical installation above a console,
bed, or entryway. Both configurations share the same walnut and brass material
palette and linen shade options.

INSTALLATION:
LJUS is hardwired to an existing junction box, with all mounting hardware
included. For dimming, use a dimmable LED bulb paired with a compatible dimmer
switch (sold separately).

FEATURES:
- Turned solid walnut body
- Antique brass hardware and stem
- Tapered linen shade in 3 colors: Off White, Olive Green, Rust
- Single or double arm configuration
- E12 socket
- Hardwired installation, mounting hardware included
- Dimmable with compatible bulb and dimmer switch

PERFECT FOR:
Bedroom wall lighting, reading nook accent, hallway sconces, headboard
flanking lights, entryway lighting, living room accent walls, Scandinavian and
Japandi interiors, mid-century modern spaces, contemporary home lighting.

WHY CHOOSE LJUS:
Unlike cold, minimalist wall sconces, LJUS brings genuine warmth through solid
walnut, aged brass, and soft linen — materials that develop character over
time rather than staying static. The three shade tones let you match LJUS to
your existing palette without compromising on the collection's signature
silhouette.

CARE & MAINTENANCE:
Dust the linen shade gently with a soft, dry brush. Wipe the walnut body with a
soft, dry cloth. Avoid moisture and direct water exposure. Brass hardware may
develop a natural patina over time.

DESIGN PHILOSOPHY:
LJUS embodies Scandinavian design's core principle - warmth through simplicity.
Solid materials, considered proportions, and a form that works as well alone as
it does in pairs.
