Mug: Dishwasher safe, but hand washing preserves the glaze softness longer. The speckled texture won't fade or wash away, it's part of the glaze itself. Microwave safe for reheating.
The glaze will develop a natural patina with daily use. Coffee and tea oils settle into microscopic crevices and darken over time. This is normal and adds character. If you want to prevent this, rinse immediately after each use and occasionally scrub with baking soda.
Saucer: Hand wash only, no dishwasher as wood will warp. Wipe with damp cloth and dry immediately. Oil occasionally with food-safe mineral oil or beeswax to prevent drying. The wood will darken and develop with patina with use, this is expected. Don't leave the saucer soaking in water. Wood absorbs moisture and can crack if it swells and shrinks repeatedly.
